Taskforce Delivery

We dedicate a specialised group of consultants to address
specific manufacturing challenges, improve processes
and achieve targeted goals.

The primary objective of a manufacturing task force is to enhance efficiency, productivity, cost and overall operational performance or within a given workstream (such as quality, engineering or supply chain). The task force serves as a corrective, proactive or strategic initiative to ensure competitiveness and sustainability of the factory.

How we succeed

With the support of a local cross-functional team, we identify gaps and build a plan to correct them. The plan is monitored, measured and communicated at all times to drive ownership and visibility. We keep an operational excellence and continuous improvement mindset at all times to inspire and motivate employees.

Task Force Delivery
Case Study

  • A UK based, award winning manufacturer specialising in engineered plastic injection mouldings
  • Wanted to relocate operational assembly lines to the primary facility to reduce overheads
  • Also wanted to move to a single shift and develop a leaner assembly line to improve efficiency and reduce cost
  • IMIG supported the client for five weeks full time, then seven weeks at three days per week

THE RESULT
Within 3 months:

  • The assembly line was transferred back to the primary building a month ahead of schedule.
  • By consolidating the assembly into a single area, the facilities overhead decreased by approximately £200,000 annually.
  • Assembly line production has gone down from two to one eight-hour shift reducing headcount from 31 to 23.
  • Efficiency output has increased on targeted products, with lead time reduction of three days to five minutes.
