In the realm of leadership, Alun Tribe’s story is one of growth and dedication to his colleagues. From shop floor apprentice to leadership roles across Europe and the USA, reaching the position of Managing Director of a 750-person plant at age 34. Alun’s commitment to excellence in both product and people became the cornerstone of his leadership philosophy.

Alun became a founding member of IMIG UK in January 2020, less than two years later he became the global CEO through the procurement of the IMIG Group, giving us our presence in all major industrial continents. As CEO, he leads with clear vision, setting a standard for excellence throughout our organisation. He has a strong customer-oriented vision that he voices through net benefit for the customer.
While his passion for engineering and leadership drives him, he also recognises the broader societal impact and contributes through educational initiatives hosting classes and seminars.
Alun is recognised as a successful leader of plant wide Operational Turnarounds, particularly in the automotive industry, which has earned him the prestigious accolade of being an Institute for Turnaround (IFT) member. Members are peer reviewed to a high calibre and have a rigorously accredited skill set that is diverse and transferable globally.
Recently, Alun led a major Operational Turnaround project with a tier one automotive supplier who were struggling to maintain consistent volume and quality levels. Leveraging IMIG’s tools, Alun conducted a thorough business assessment to devise an Operational Turnaround strategy. Crucially, Alun led from the front to secure customer buy in. As the project progressed, he transitioned into an advisory and mediation role, guiding the in-house team towards embracing new systems and approaches. The results were remarkable, with overall output soaring by over 100%, accompanied by substantial improvements in quality and employee engagement.
He actively nurtures our team by attracting top talent to IMIG and encourages the team to operate without hierarchies, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset. Outside of work, Alun finds daily inspiration from his four children, while his hobbies in road cycling and cars fuel his creativity.
For the future Alun aims to continue the net benefit journey to recognise >$1 billion dollars of client net benefit with the global IMIG team by 2033.
