IMIG 2025! - Successful "Global Strategy Meeting 2019" in Japan, Tokyo

The strategic orientation of the IMIG Group will be reviewed and further developed in an annual strategy meeting with the representatives of the international subsidiaries. The host in 2019 was the Japanese subsidiary - with an excellently arranged course of events and great results from the 5 days in Tokyo.

In addition to a very valuable start-up impulse "out of the box thinking" the following topics were on the agenda:

  • Progress assessment in the strategy implementation per subsidiary and at the group level
  • Strategic influencing factors and opportunities/risks internally/externally
  • New topics for the future for our customers and for us
  • Opportunities through global synergies and further location development
  • IMIG: Digital alignment
  • Best Practice Consulting in Japan

At the same time, our typical working style is very interactive at our own strategy meetings. Instead of frontal presentations, we use instead apply the element of "strategy marketplaces" on which we then work interactively on the respective "market stall" using poster information.

The great advantage of this working method is that everyone is actively involved and that the jointly developed strategy contents and elements enjoy much greater acceptance in the management group. The public part of the derivation from our strategic direction can be viewed on the basis of our advice and further information on our newly designed IMIG website www.imig.com. Have fun studying! -Feedback, questions and impressions are always welcome!

In addition to IMIG's internal strategy evaluation, we took the opportunity to visit selected clients in order to become acquainted with some of our colleagues' current lead projects in Japan and to evaluate the global synergy potential for the respective clients and for the IMIG Group in practical cases.

True to the "Big in Japan" theme, there were very interesting recreational activities in addition to the actual work itself.

All in all it proved to be a very successful and valuable event with excellent results for the further strategic orientation of the IMIG Group.

Over the next 12 months, we must now build on the decisions made in Tokyo and look forward to the next Global Strategy Meeting in 2020, which will then take place in the United States at the offices of our colleagues.
We all see IMIG and ourselves on a very good, exciting and challenging but also very motivating path with excellent chances of success for our customers and therefore also for each other. See you soon, with new strategic prospects!
