Automotive & Mobility Business Unit - Activity News
The IMIG team has continued to grow over 2020 and Q1 of 2021. New projects and new team members mean that the challenge is always diverse but our skills evolve. Our team is expanding to cover the new challenges of the e-mobility sector across automotive, Rail, Air and Sea transport. As a global automotive team we remain always ready to support in all regions of the world.
WHAT DOES THE BUSINESS UNIT CROSS INDUSTRY DEAL WITH?
The support of organisations and projects whose service or product is linked to the “movement of people and goods” across:
- Passenger vehicles
- Air Travel & Freight
- Commercial vehicles
Projects are usually focused in the following areas with case studies to support our results:
- Consulting actions across the product lifecycle from R&D through to mass production. Here we aim to improve business efficiencies focusing on customer satisfaction and profitable growth.
- Infrastructure lifecycle, generating the future print for product support infrastructure e.g. the strategy of e-mobility charging vs. traditional fuelled vehicles.
- Interim positions to add experience to client teams during periods of change or increased demand.
- Task force activities for failing suppliers in support of OEMs through quality or delivery escalation.
Future developments in the industry
In recent months our team has grown with new skills from the e-mobility sector, ready to support clients in the new challenges in drivetrains and battery technology projects. We also acknowledge the new challenges that “perceived quality” will bring with the reduced cabin noise leading to changes in customer perception.
At the same time the global footprint of automotive is shifting. This is driving many large relocating activities for OEMs and supply chains across the globe. IMIG has already supported these activities in Europe and Asia and remains ready to support with local teams. Recently with the pandemic travel restrictions, IMIG has been able to offer local teams in both locations simultaneously.
During 2021 we look forward to the opportunity to offer our support to all clients and develop our own team in line with industry.
